Total weight lost on Take Shape for Life plan: 6.5 pounds
Day 5 on plan: Weight 208.0. This is weirdin’ me out.
My Lean and Green today was beef fajitas on spring mix lettuce and baby spinach. Doesn’t healthy food sound fancier? The bars and shakes are tolerable. The Optavia oatmeal has to be choked down although a lot of people in the Facebook community say the love it. The sites and smells in the grocery store almost made me want to say “fuck it, I’ll just be fat” but I made it out alive! I was offered a free DQ blizzard no less than three times today! It physically hurt to decline!
Day 6 on plan: Weight 207.5. Okay….seems to be slowing down so water weight is probably all off finally. Will be hard to watch the scale slow down but totally expected and healthy. I’ve been drinking around 100 oz of water a day so I spend tons of time in the bathroom! Assuming that will even out a bit eventually.
Day 7 on plan: Weight 209. Well that sucks. But I am not going to worry about it. Weight fluctuates, and I really shouldn’t be weighing myself daily anyway. My Lean and Green was my standby quick meal: Chicken breasts with a salad. I should mention that I heard from my Health Coach several times in the first week to check in on me and help me plan my Lean and Greens. Nice to have someone completely objective in my corner.
Day 8 on plan: Weight 207.5. See? Weight fluctuates. I had nothing to worry about. I still need to stay off the scale!
Day 9 and 10 on plan: I think my scale is broken. The only numbers it knows is 208 and 209. Patience is my keyword. Time will pass is my mantra. In eight months or so I’ll either be healthy or obese. My choice. Either way time will pass.
Day 11 on plan: Weight 206. Woohoo! Lean and Green today was a second attempt at cooking fish. It was marginally better than before. I was actually able to eat it this time! I also was brave and tried riced cauliflower. Not bad. A little flavorless but that can be changed.
So far things are going well. I LOVE not having to think about what I’m eating, and I’m definitely learning to prepare and enjoy more vegetables. Cravings for most things have disappeared although late afternoons can be difficult. For me, these first few weeks will be all about breaking old food habits so that I can rebuild them in a healthy way. My health coach has been a great resource for veggie recipes and encouragement.
So far, so good.
