I know I keep saying this, but I seriously can’t believe I’ve actually followed through and done this for 10 days!
Today was a crazy busy day, and I so did not want to roll out my mat and exercise. I almost didn’t. I almost justified not doing it by telling myself I didn’t have to because not only did we go car shopping (and purchasing) this morning, we also set up a large pool (yes, we know there’s only about three days of summer left) that needed a truckload of sand leveled out underneath it. And pools are heavy to drag across the yard! And a million trips from the back corner of the yard to the garage to get the items we forgot adds up to a lot of steps. So I totally felt I was justified in skipping the challenge today. Then, my guilt kicked in. Because I committed. And I really don’t want to fail. So I reminded myself that it takes all of five minutes to complete the challenge for the day, and I got my chubby butt on the floor and just did it.
5 modified push-ups: Staying right at the number I did yesterday. Barely eeked out the last three.
28-second plank: Don’t think about the pain. Think about frolicking puppies. Here’s a video to help:
25 crunches: These actually kinda take awhile. How do people do a hundred or more a day. I don’t have the patience for that.
11 squats: Are these even doing anything?
I did it! The feeling of satisfaction is waaaaay better than the guilt and shame I would have if I had given in to my laziness!
